The Executive Committee of the PCCC met virtually with US Congressional Candidate Tom Suozzi today. Mr. Suozzi has a long and extensive history of working closely with Co-op and Condo homeowners and has been a great supporter of this community. Mr. Suozzi was instrumental in helping Co-ops qualify for Paycheck Protection money when he served in Congress in 2020 during the early days of the Covid pandemic.
We discussed several issues of great importance to the Co-op homeowners in Congressional District 3 including Intro 1197, which amends Local Law 97 to lessen its impact on working and middle-class Co-op homeowners; procuring Inflation Reduction Act monies to help the Co-op community pay for Local Law 97 compliant projects and many local issues that are of importance in CD 3.
The PCCC Executive Committee unanimously voted to give Mr. Suozzi our highest grade of A+ in recognition of his long history of support for this form of home ownership.
