The PCCC Executive Committee is thrilled to announce that our co-President, Warren Schreiber, has been elected the next President of the Queens Civic Congress. This is a well-deserved honor and they could not have picked a more qualified person, who will bring his years of experience in civic affairs to this position. The Queens Civic Congress’ mission is as follows:
- To provide a forum for the civic associations and neighborhood organizations of Queens County to inform and address themselves to the full spectrum of issues, developments, and conditions that may affect the quality of life of our neighborhoods.
- To develop and present standard policies and positions on all matters affecting our neighborhoods, the Borough and County of Queens, and New York City.
- To furnish effective leadership and advocacy for the advancement of the welfare and interests of Queens’ neighborhoods and to enhance and sustain the quality of life of the residents of Queens.
- To engage the attention and support of elected officials and public agencies to adopt legislation and policies that benefit the Queens neighborhood.
We know Warren is up to the task and we wish him well. Of course, you can congratulate him in person by attending the QCC Legislative Luncheon on October 2, 2022, at 1 pm at Antun’s, 96-43 Springfield Blvd., Queens Village, NY 11429 in Queens Village.
