As part of our continuing Friday morning conversation series with Elected Officials regarding critical issues to the Co-op Community, the Executive Committee of the PCCC met virtually with New York State Senator Toby Stavisky on May 28, 2021. 

 

It was an extremely productive conversation with ideas exchanged from both sides. Senator Stavisky is a long time supporter of the PCCC and she stated that she is closely watching the numerous bills in Albany that would affect Co-ops, including the Tenant Protection Act and the Coop Carve out the bill; the Good Cause Eviction bill; the Timing and Reasons bill and the Coop Transparency Bill. Senator Stavisky expressed her support for the Coop community and let us know her doors are always open to us if there are pressing issues.
